| well, svothe had bring out an issue on creating the world on earth or on other planet, yeah, i kinda find out it's time for concept artists to work harder and team up. although we had started some modeling and animation, but tats not how it works, we cant start anything without proper design theme. so my suggestion is, concept artists who wanna standardize their design as mechtech theme, feel free to do so, collect your artwork which resemble the same theme, i'll ask svothe for further information later~ (maybe we'll view through everyone's work and decide which to be used, or combine it...) | |

Alright. We want everybodys opinions on what to go with. Yes thats right its your time to decide!
Ok We need everybodys imput on where the game should go from here. The art styles are being mixed and blurred and the real story has been bricked behind a wall of miss thought.
Help us choose the style!
1) Earth has been iced over, no remenants of the former earth remain but a new world has been created upon the ice such as giant metal citadels and military bases built upon the hard frozen core. it always snows and the weather is almost the windy snowy winter of todays antartica.
2) A Different non Earth world has all the same things as 1 but isnt earth its a moon. ( not earths moon )
3) The World is in ruin after a great war, remenants of the old world still remain and have been mutilated by the two great factions, toik have torn apart new york and created a giant base on liberty island and have there HQ around the liberty statue ( or the mutilated one atleast) and the tech have taken over other major cities and they fight over america and other countrys. Todays Warm more desert like weather.
4) The world has been destroyed and now the world has become like one giant desert stretching from mountain side to mountain side. great bunkers and buildings have been errected in the sides of mountains and into the very earth and sand of the desert. the weather is very warm like that of australia and various deserts.

| well, wait for few moments and look at the polls again, it's only 1 hour and we cant really get all the votes yet if everyone had decided the chosen theme, then we all can start on the designs, this is not limited to concept artist, anyone with any ideas, just give it a try! who knows... | |

A good side thought to not doing newyork is it can save us the trouble of making a huge city lol if we wanna slack a tiny bit... lol ( I can't remember if anyone has yet started on the city?) | |

| True, with a wide variety of terrain/enviroments we can make alot of interesting sides of the story. Also we can think of some interesting technologies and some stories behind where it all came from... or whatever, it just open us up to lots of things | |

| I'm going with solid 3 because of the variety it can give us and the familiarity it can give our player making the game more involving. Alot of what you see in a game will phsycologically affect what you think of it to start with and then how you can stick with it. Hellgate London tries to pull this one of, it chooses alot of landmarks from around london and in an update they added Stonehenge I believe. | |

| Yah, Taht always a cool thing to have in games, when you are doing it in a city, make some landmarks... I don't know why this is cool, but really shows they did some research and it feels mor realistic. | |

| Hehe, I'm pretty sure a week or two back I suggested landmarks being added to the game in particular the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building aswell as a destroyed Las Vegas. | |

| I just wonder if people are xpecting an amazing destroyed city.
Has any one played half-life 2. Then when you make it in the city and it's destoryed and the ghapics are outstandingly amazing awsome. Iif you know what I mean... I just hope people don't expect almost that. | |

| Well maybe we should just go for Destroyed citys and places. i think we should begin with New york personally as it is a good place with tons of features and everybody knows about New york.
So maybe you start off as a tech on Liberty island, and then once you have done all the quests there and get to level 10 then you can leave the island to the main area of new york. | |

| oh and towcar, no i believe we are aiming at a more smashed up and worn down style, so it looks like the city was destroyed 30 years ago and you have been there Now so its a bit more overgrown and worn down and stuff. | |

| I understand the need to use New York, as it is so iconic, but let's try to stay away from things that we have seen over and over again in the movies for the other locations. Or better yet, be completely original and have a post disaster NYC where the statue of liberty is still standing. | |

| How would a post disaster even work? when its a post apocalyptic world. it would just be out of place.
Oh and Statue of Liberty is used alot because its such a famous location which everybody knows about so it adds depth and realism to the whole game. | |

| Haha, and for a funny ironic joke, somewhere in the game we could have these huge twin buildings made and they like hq of the toik or something and then the other mechs destroy them with a plane hahah.
@ The real dicussion: Well if we wanted we could have half a statue of liberty. SO the other half in water or something. Also i belive the statue of liberty stands for something... Now what was it... I don't know... maybey it's LIBERTY lol | |
